This Christmas.

Christmas 3

This Christmas will be different.

This Christmas, I will not be celebrating you nor all that you do.

All that you’ve done.

All that you’ve seen.

All that you’ve believed.

And all that you’ve been.

This Christmas will be different.

This Christmas, I will not raise a tree; instead, I’ll celebrate what rises up within me.

All that I’ve done.

All that I’ve seen.

All that I’ve believed.

And all that I’ve been.

This Christmas will be different.

This Christmas, I will not send gifts covered in your lies; instead, I’ll be celebrating close friends and my own family ties.

All that they’ve done.

All that they’ve seen.

All that they’ve believed

And all that they’ve been.

This Christmas will be different.

This Christmas, I will not be singing your praises nor turning your pages.

All that you’ve preached.

All that you’ve taken.

All that you’ve given.

And all that you’ve forsaken.

This Christmas will be different.

This Christmas, I will not be standing in your choir; instead, I’ll be lighting inside me my very own fire.

All that I’ve preached.

All that I’ve taken.

All that I’ve given.

And all that I’ve forsaken.

This Christmas will be different.

This Christmas, I will not be praying to you; instead, I’ll be thanking my friends for all that they do.

All that they’ve preached.

All that they’ve taken.

All that they’ve given.

And all that they’ve forsaken.

This Christmas will be different. This Christmas.

This Christmas, we will not be standing with you on your mountaintop nor falling into your shadows of death; instead, we should all be signing songs of truth with our every last breath.

All that we’ve done.

All that we’ve seen.

All that we’ve believed.

And all that we’ve been.

All that we’ve preached.

All that we’ve taken.

All that we’ve given.

And all that we’ve forsaken.

This Christmas will be different.
