Chasing Rabbits

If you chase two rabbits,

you will catch neither one.

If you grow wise fast,

you will turn up young.

If she is the muse within

and the adulteress without,

she will end up forlorn

and showcased without doubt.

If he takes advantage

of the call and of the stance,

he will turn into a regretful man

and will decay in her glance.

If we come to the notion

that all will be well in the end,

we will see that life works out

regardless of the bends.

If I shut my mouth twice

and listen five times,

you will not fall victim

to my selfish crimes.

If you listen with two ears

and speak in your turn,

you will find that there’s truth

in the mind of the learned.

If we gather our thoughts

before we speak,

we will learn patience overflowing

from the mountain peaks.

If she waits ’til she’s ready

she’ll never find peace.

The best adventurers

begin everyday with new life’s lease.

If he gathers his courage

and leaves her to sin,

she will come running

apologizing or something akin.

If you chase two rabbits,

you will catch neither one.

If you grow wise fast,

you will turn up young.
