She said goodbye to those rock and roll stars, those that inflicted the deepest scars.

She invited in the twists and the turns of the brains that burn.

The ones that show and the ones that know.

The carriers of curiosity and the bearers of generosity.

In through the mind bends of their frayed ends,

The reaped insight of their sown flights.

Their gnarly vines in the hearts of twine.

Their scissored tongues and their ruptured lungs.

Their love of everything, wild and blue.

Their love of everything, tried and true.

The fuck ups.

The mess ups.

Their overflowing cups.

Into my soul and down my throat.

Creeping through veins and sinking this boat.
