MANIA

Riding in on the waves,

She hides away in its’ caves;

‘Til the wreck crashes a’ shore,

And all is washed over and pure.

Pure thoughts and the best of intentions,

She seeks out the loftiest of attentions;

‘Til the tide breaks and the ocean falls in,

And the sirens sound off and the lighthouses spin.

Finding her way through the darkness,

Her mind attaches to anything that’s not harnessed;

‘Til the tide turns again and she is up to her knees

in racing thoughts and a sinister breeze.

The riptides pull her away into heightened awareness,

She sinks deeper into the world’s sickly unfairness;

‘Til the riptides sink her reality and turn in to swallow;

She has no moves left but to create a world in which to follow.

Under the sea is a Tsunami of knowledge;

A whirlpool of synchronicities and synergies to acknowledge;

‘Til the whirlpool drags her further beneath the swells,

Into the unknown, in time and in turn, and into the wells.

The upside down tornado does not falter;

It spins down beneath, its tip dropping her at the alter;

‘Til she is able to see for the very first time,

A world of her own in which she must climb.

The rest of the world outside doesn’t know,

The distance she’s come through her lowest of lows;

‘Til the alter erupts and the magnitude within,

Glimmers and sings until the euphoria sins.

She casts out of the sea into a burning geyser;

On top of the world, she boasts ’til she’s wiser;

‘Til the stream settles down and she sits on the surface,

And sings to herself in tongues that would curse us.

Grandiose thoughts float to the top;

She’s the mother of the earth, and the cream of the crop;

‘Til she rides the waves on the proverbial board,

And slashes at her demons and prays to her lord.

The fantasy has grown and the time is now,

To pounce on the Universe and show them all how;

‘Til she washes close to shore and swims away;

It’s exhausting keeping up with her energetic play.

Pure thoughts and the best of intentions,

She seeks out the loftiest of attentions;

‘Til the tide breaks and the ocean falls in,

And the sirens sound off and the lighthouses spin.

Riding in on the waves,

She hides away in its’ caves.

‘Til the wreck crashes a’ shore,

And all is washed over and pure.

‘Til the tide breaks and the ocean falls in,

And the sirens sound off and the lighthouses spin.
