CAN’T BUY PEACE

It’s amazing to me how much one can accomplish sitting in a silent room, all day, everyday. One of these days I will break out and have some ol’ fashioned fun, but for the time being I have to deal with what I am dealt.

I don’t have a car, because it broke down. I don’t have money, in fact, I am in the negative by thousands. I don’t have a phone. I don’t have a place to call ‘home’. In my lack of freedom and material things, I learned quite a few lessons about myself that I will never unlearn, nor take for granted again. What I do have is contentment and peace within, and none of those said things can buy that.

Today, I am grateful.
