Look at us, showing our support one day out of the year;
Yet we support needless suffering and propel needless fear.
Our actions cut like knives at the expense of the human race;
It’s incongruent with our mission, and It’s a slap to the face.
For the sake of security and safety within;
We fight back like cowards, committing their sins.
We lost many lives and that is tragic, indeed;
But many more were lost in the backlash and bleed.
It’s the pot calling the kettle, then it’s off with their heads.
It’s called Black Kettle Bloodshed, and it’s drying our tread.
The blood that’s been shed will saturate this earth.
Have we forgotten our brotherhood from the moment of birth?
