Razor’s Edge.

There’s a razor’s edge between our tongues that cuts us through our core.

I loved you once and I love you still in the space where we want more.

More of life and laughter, and a future where it lay between two hearts.

The bleeding and pulsing that it sliced between this part:

The part that never conquers but the part that always grew.

The part that always strived for dreams, yet the part that never knew.

There is no blame to fasten to the yoke of what was right or wrong.

There is no guilt in pleasure for it was once was our only song.

But there’s a razor’s edge between our tongues that cuts us through our core.

I loved you once and I love you still in the space where we want more.

I never saw the fever in someone else’s eyes like I did within your own.

Nor the energy that soaked every thread until my heart was sewn.

Not like this, and never again, will I love someone quite like you.

I don’t intend on defying this, as there are things that I must do.

I loved you once and I love you still, and it seems that I always will.

There were stars that saw us through this dream and more to come yet still.
