| Culinary Cleavage | Cooking for a Cause, Day #2 Friday the 13th Addition | Breast Cancer Awareness.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is upon us! And so is Friday the 13th! I slaved over caramel apples for a special treat today! I have discovered I am no baker, but I thought I’d give it a shot! I’m much more savory than sweet.

I started off coring apples…and took deep breaths reminding myself to enjoy the process, but as I got to the caramelization I started to slip & slur curses and sling profanity around like knives at a sadistic strip show circus. Don’t get me started on the sifting of flour and folding in apples. More power to you bakers out there! It’s an art not for the faint of heart! And it’s beyond me how people decorate elaborate cakes for any occasion. I had to coach myself halfway through the pearl necklace, “Don’t give in now…don’t get sloppy, bitch.”

All in good fun and for a great cause. This badass is $30 alone.

Behold – The Dirty Drunken Core.

Apple Spice Cake featuring Four Loko Sour Apple Ale, make-shift cream cheese & maple syrup frosting, crumbled cinnamon toast crunch, and a caramel apple & cream cheese core.

It’s damn good. But I’m not one for sweets, so that’s a wrap for this Candy Gram!

Estimated Restaurant Cost – $30 in the Boobie Bank!

In Honor of Mom.
